Call for Nominees — New Hampshire Region Leadership Elections
The New Hampshire Region is seeking dedicated members interested in serving in regional leadership roles. We invite members to submit their intent to run for election as Section Chief for either the Central or Southern Section.
Section Chiefs serve as board representatives for their respective sections, working closely with the educational staff to ensure that regional programs and services are effectively delivered to the Patrollers they represent.

About the Election
Each year, the New Hampshire Region conducts elections for leadership positions.

During odd-numbered years, members elect Section Chiefs for the Central and Southern Sections.

Elections traditionally occur during the refresher season, when patrollers return to their home patrols to prepare for winter operations.
Six years ago, the Region modernized its election process by adopting secure, auditable electronic voting software, widely used by nonprofit member associations worldwide. This transition eliminated the need for election committee members to collect paper ballots at each of the fifteen OEC Refreshers and introduced the convenience of an online, verifiable process.
Continuing to Evolve
Since implementing electronic voting, we’ve continued to refine our process to make elections simpler and more efficient.

The voting period has been shortened from three months to three weeks,

and administrative workload and travel demands have been significantly reduced.
These changes have allowed regional leadership to focus more on member engagement and program delivery while maintaining transparency and accessibility in the election process.
2025 Election Schedule
This season’s electronic election will begin on November 10th, when announcement emails are distributed to eligible members.
Voting will remain open until December 1st, concluding at the same time as the annual National Elections.
