It’s Refresher season again and the weather is starting to cool off. It’s a bittersweet time of year this time around. I’m looking forward to the ski season (as always), but as this is my last season as Region Director, come April, I will be handing over the leadership of the NH Region to the next Director.
I can honestly say it’s been an interesting 6 years. With the years of Covid interruptions, Zoom meetings taking over instead of face-to-face meetings, turmoil and changes in the National Board and NSAA attitudes and interactions, dues increases**, etc.
Leaving the reminiscing till April, we have a long and hopefully snowy winter ahead. There are numerous programs currently running or scheduled for this season. OEC Courses, OEC Challenges, Senior OEC, Senior OET, MTR, Patroller Schools, to name a few. New ways for EMS folks to get involved in National and OEC. Tenney Mountain is back and planning on opening around Dec 21st. Black Mountain is up in the air as to whether it’s going to open (hope it does). Some Patrol Directors are retiring or planning on shortly. In short, lots of moving parts everywhere.
Check the website and calendar for more information as we find out more and publish new information.
For now – Enjoy the remainder of the fall and the foliage and here’s hoping for an epic snow season.

NH Region Director
Eastern Division Assistant Director
**Side note on the dues increase — National has raised dues by $20 this season, so to ease the sting a little NH Region is going to lower its dues from $15 a season to $5 for this season. We will go back to the $15 next season so we can continue to fund the programs, but for this season we can float the lower dues. (we are the only region that has lowered dues to help its members)
