We invite members to <strong data-start=\"422\" data-end=\"465\">submit their intent to run for election<\/strong> as <strong data-start=\"469\" data-end=\"486\">Section Chief<\/strong> for either the <strong data-start=\"502\" data-end=\"513\">Central<\/strong> or <strong data-start=\"517\" data-end=\"537\">Southern Section<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"542\" data-end=\"773\">Section Chiefs serve as <strong data-start=\"566\" data-end=\"591\">board representatives<\/strong> for their respective sections, working closely with the educational staff to ensure that regional programs and services are effectively delivered to the Patrollers they represent.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"775\" data-end=\"935\">If you wish to run for election, please submit a brief <strong data-start=\"830\" data-end=\"849\">email of intent<\/strong> to the <a href=\"https:\/\/newhampshireregionnsp.org\/topshack\/?page_id=8483\"><strong data-start=\"857\" data-end=\"889\">NH Region Election Committee<\/strong> by following this link&#8230;<\/a><\/p>\n<hr data-start=\"937\" data-end=\"940\" \/>\n<h3 data-start=\"942\" data-end=\"968\"><strong data-start=\"946\" data-end=\"968\">About the Election<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"970\" data-end=\"1052\">Each year, the New Hampshire Region conducts elections for leadership positions.<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1053\" data-end=\"1305\">\n<li data-start=\"1053\" data-end=\"1159\">\n<p data-start=\"1055\" data-end=\"1159\"><strong data-start=\"1055\" data-end=\"1084\">During odd-numbered years<\/strong>, members elect <strong data-start=\"1100\" data-end=\"1118\">Section Chiefs<\/strong> for the Central and Southern Sections.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1160\" data-end=\"1305\">\n<p data-start=\"1162\" data-end=\"1305\">Elections traditionally occur during the <strong data-start=\"1203\" data-end=\"1223\">refresher season<\/strong>, when patrollers return to their home patrols to prepare for winter operations.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1307\" data-end=\"1679\">Six years ago, the Region modernized its election process by adopting <strong data-start=\"1377\" data-end=\"1425\">secure, auditable electronic voting software<\/strong>, widely used by nonprofit member associations worldwide. This transition eliminated the need for election committee members to collect paper ballots at each of the fifteen OEC Refreshers and introduced the convenience of an online, verifiable process.<\/p>\n<hr data-start=\"1681\" data-end=\"1684\" \/>\n<h3 data-start=\"1686\" data-end=\"1714\"><strong data-start=\"1690\" data-end=\"1714\">Continuing to Evolve<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"1716\" data-end=\"1839\">Since implementing electronic voting, we\u2019ve continued to refine our process to make elections simpler and more efficient.<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1840\" data-end=\"2002\">\n<li data-start=\"1840\" data-end=\"1918\">\n<p data-start=\"1842\" data-end=\"1918\">The voting period has been <strong data-start=\"1869\" data-end=\"1915\">shortened from three months to three weeks<\/strong>,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1919\" data-end=\"2002\">\n<p data-start=\"1921\" data-end=\"2002\">and administrative workload and travel demands have been significantly reduced.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"2004\" data-end=\"2182\">These changes have allowed regional leadership to focus more on member engagement and program delivery while maintaining transparency and accessibility in the election process.<\/p>\n<hr data-start=\"2184\" data-end=\"2187\" \/>\n<h3 data-start=\"2189\" data-end=\"2219\"><strong data-start=\"2193\" data-end=\"2219\">2025 Election Schedule<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"2221\" data-end=\"2467\">This season\u2019s electronic election will begin on <strong data-start=\"2269\" data-end=\"2286\">November 10th<\/strong>, when announcement emails are distributed to eligible members.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2221\" data-end=\"2467\">Voting will remain open until <strong data-start=\"2382\" data-end=\"2398\">December 1st<\/strong>, concluding at the same time as the annual <strong data-start=\"2442\" data-end=\"2464\">National Elections<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2469\" data-end=\"2609\">We encourage qualified and motivated members to consider serving as a Section Chief and help shape the future of the New Hampshire Region.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<h2 data-start=\"220\" data-end=\"289\"><strong data-start=\"224\" data-end=\"289\">Call for Nominees \u2014 New Hampshire Region Leadership Elections<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"291\" data-end=\"540\">The <strong data-start=\"295\" data-end=\"319\">New Hampshire Region<\/strong> is seeking dedicated members interested in serving in regional leadership roles.
