With sadness, the Region would like to announce that longtime Gunstock Ski Patroller and NSP member Michael Burns died unexpectedly on Saturday, September 30th, 2017.  He served as an Alpine Patroller at Gunstock in Gilford NH for 16 years.

Visiting hours will be Tuesday, October 10th from 4 PM to 7 PM at R.M. Edgerly and Son Funeral Home, 86 South Main Street, Rochester, NH.  The funeral will be the next morning, Wednesday, October 11th at 10 AM, beginning at Trinity Anglican Church, Rochester Hill Road, Rochester, NH with Fr. Matthew Mirabile, pastor, officiating.

Rochester, NH- Michael William Burns, 54, of Rochester died unexpectedly on Saturday Sept. 30, 2017.

 

He was born Oct. 13, 1962 in Rochester, NH the son of Lola (Tanner) Burns and the late Dr. James Burns. He was a graduate of Berwick Academy, Class of 1981 and Norwich University Class of 1985. Michael served in the U.S. Army and worked as a self- employed computer technician. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed skiing, hiking and Scouting. Michael was a member of Trinity Anglican Church of Rochester, NH.

 

Members of his family include his sons, Michael and wife Samantha Burns, FT. Campbell, KY, Matthew Burns, Orlando, FL; granddaughter, McKenzie Burns; his mother, Lola Burns, Wolfeboro, NH; brother, Peter Burns, and sister, Piper Strong, both of VT, Aunt Theresa, Uncle Larry, Laconia, NH, nephews and cousins.

 

Family and friends may visit Tuesday Oct. 10, 2017 from 4-7 PM at the R.M. Edgerly & Son Funeral Home, 86 South Main Street, Rochester, NH.

 

A memorial service will be celebrated Wednesday Oct. 11, 2017 at 10AM in Trinity Anglican Church, Rochester Hill Road, Rochester, NH with Fr. Matthew Mirabile, pastor, officiating.

 

Burial will be in Milton Mills Cemetery, Milton Mills, NH.
